About Us
Dynamic Hand Therapy was established and opened by Michelle P. Shamash, OTR/L, CHT in 2003 to provide the northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin area with a therapist run hand therapy clinic that provides top-notch hand and upper extremity rehabilitation along with great customer support - a combination that can't be beat.
Through our commitment, experience, and expertise, Dynamic Hand Therapy has established a business relationship with our patients and physicians that will last a lifetime.
Michelle received her degree in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has over 15 years of experience as an occupational therapist. She is licensed in Illinois and is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists. Michelle received her certification in hand therapy in 1998, and has worked with some of the most prestigious hand surgeons in the country. Michelle has numerous professional associations and has presented several clinics and labs on hand therapy topics. Michelle has treated patients from all walks of life, including a number of athletes from Chicago's professional sports teams. Michelle and her staff welcome you to her clinics and look forward to helping you develop and reach all of your therapy goals.

Meet our other Occupational Therapists:
Sara Gresbach, OTR/L: Sara is the Director of our Gurnee clinic. She received her Occupational Therapy Degree from Mount Mary College in Wisconsin and has been with Dynamic Hand Therapy since 2004. 
Darlene Verenski, OTR/L: Darlene has been an Occupational Therapists since 1992. She graduated from Western Michigan University and joined Dynamic Hand Therapy in 2007.
Shelly Chamberlin, OTR/L, CHT: Shelly, is a Certified Hand Therapist and joined Dynamic Hand Therapy in 2007. Shelly graduated in 1998 from Eastern Michigan University.
